The “lush” option was chosen for the center of Campbell. Trees will be coming to the center lane.

Sam Credio sent the following email which contained the presentation that was given at the most recent meeting.

Campbell Avenue Enhancement Project – January 2014

Greetings,
You are receiving this email because you attended the open house on January 28, 2014 regarding the upcoming Campbell Avenue enhancements (See attached presentation). At this meeting, two landscape concepts were presented for the proposed landscaped median islands: A “Lush” green concept and a native “Desert” concept. These concepts were presented in response to feedback received at a previous meeting.
Based on the input received, TDOT has selected the “Lush” concept. This concept includes trees, shrubs and ground cover. As a result,  an irrigation system will be installed to irrigate the medians and planters alike.
Additionally, TDOT has identified an opportunity to include an etched logo on the concrete planters. Attached is a concept that has been approved by the Ward 3 office.
TDOT is now moving forward with finalizing the plans and preparing the funding package to be submitted to ADOT. It is anticipated that construction will not begin until 2015 to avoid negative impacts to the surrounding businesses.
On behalf of TDOT, I sincerely appreciate your participation on this project. Please feel free to visit the project website for more information:
Regards,
Sam
